Welcome to the first character highlight post for the upcoming Legends of Evorath series. Book 1, The Shadows of Erathal, launches October 29th, 2024. And to celebrate that upcoming launch, I’ll be highlighting one of the main characters every day leading up to the launch. Each week, I’ll review the format, which will include a starting section about the character and their upbringing. Next, there is a “spec sheet,” akin to a traditional RPG’s character sheet where I lay out all the vitals of a character. Finally, I’ll close out with some more about the character, their interests, hobbies, skills, and other pertinent details.
Today, we start our series with Artimus Atyrmirid Jr.
Who Is Artimus?
The son of Artimus Atyrmirid and Savanah Sylvanas, Artimus Jr. is an elvish resident of the town of Marftaport. Being two of the first elves to move to Marftaport, Artimus Jr. holds the distinction of being the first elf born in Marftaport in the year 1088 MT. Living in a small shack just beside his parent’s home, Artimus followed in the footsteps of his father, developing impressive skills with a bow and arrow.
As a member of the Hunter’s Guild, Artimus and his father participate in weekly hunting adventures to bring back meat for their community. Additionally, he devotes time volunteering for the Community Guard, where he spends at least a few days a week in one of the town watchtowers. Beyond his working relationships, Artimus is looked to by members of Marftaport as a reliable and trusted ally and friend.

Growing up in Marftaport, Artimus Jr. was educated in a wide range of subjects, with a strong emphasis on the arts. He is known for keeping a fastidious journal of his daily life, where he writes about some of this greatest interests. Among them are philosophy, reading, and the martial sports. Though he doesn’t spend time creating art of his own, he also has a great appreciation for sculptures and paintings.
Wise beyond his years, Artimus is skilled at keeping a level head and logically examining every problem he encounters. However, his youth and inexperience often lead to a lack of confidence.
