Welcome to the first character highlight post for the upcoming Legends of Evorath series. Book 1, The Shadows of Erathal, launches October 29th, 2024. And to celebrate that upcoming launch, I’ll be highlighting one of the main characters every day leading up to the launch. Each week, I’ll review the format, which will include a starting section about the character and their upbringing. Next, there is a “spec sheet,” akin to a traditional RPG’s character sheet where I lay out all the vitals of a character. Finally, I’ll close out with some more about the character, their interests, hobbies, skills, and other pertinent details.
Who Is Jaldor?
Husband, father, and dairy farmer extraordinaire, Jaldor lives the simple life. His focus is around making sure his family is fed and provided for. As The Legends of Evorath begins, he’s gotten down his trade to an exact science, following a comfortable routine. But as that routine is interrupted, he shows unwavering commitment to his family and their safety.

What Makes Him Tick?
First and foremost, Jaldor is a family man. He does everything in his power to ensure his wife and daughter are safe and provided for. But beyond his love of family, Jaldor is an expert dairy farmer. Growing up with a lifetime of experience, he regularly looks at modifying his cheesemaking endeavors to create new and interesting cheeses. He values his relationship with his herd and works to ensure all the food he produces is not only nutritious but loves discovering new and interesting flavors to share with his community. When he’s not working the farm with his family, he’s likely out selling his cheese and butter or working to ensure his community is fed and provided for.
