Update & Character Highlight: Artimus

Hey everyone! I wanted to reach out and give an update. I have 6 major characters I wish to highlight from the first book, so over the next 6 Fridays I shall be releasing a character highlight post. This gives you some brief background information about the characters, and should help you form a better picture of them physically. That should already be easy for Yezurkstal, as he is on the cover of the book, but for the others I figured this would help.

To get an idea, these character highlights are just brief backgrounds. I debated whether to release more thorough information, but in the end I just took the notes for my characters, cut out any spoilers, and cleaned them up for human consumption.

Artimus Atyrmirid

Born 825 MT in the city of Erathal, Artimus grew up in a typical elvish family. His mother was a tailor and his father a hunter, which is where he learned most of his own skills. While growing up, he took in a keen interest in the longbow, and quickly developed great skills. When he reached adulthood, he joined his father as a hunter and developed superb tracking skills as well.

After the crime spree exploded in 1066 MT, both of Artimus’s parents were murdered. After the King fell victim to a murderer as well, Artimus volunteered to track down the killers. Upon his successful capture of these murderers, he was promoted to head investigator of Erathal. He lives in a medium sized cabin and enjoys his work more than any other activity.

Height: 5’8″

Weight: 159 lbs.

Hair: Dirty blonde, lush, medium length.

Eyes: Sky Blue

Body Type: Slim and toned

Features: Smooth skin, very light tan.

Clothes: Simple forest green tunic and pants.

Accessories: Quiver, bow, mythril bastard sword, a variety of knives and daggers.

Personality: Artimus tends to be introverted, having very few friends and not wishing to socialize much in general. With his training and personality, he always observes more than he talks, entering into every situation and immediately looking for potential tools, exits, and other factors that could prove to be pertinent. Despite this, he is intelligent enough to realize that some situations require tact and diplomacy, so he learned some of the finer points to appropriately deal with others.
